I taught in k-12 schools for 14 years including designing and teaching immersive problem-based learning units in both a gifted ed program in a suburban school and subequently in a middle school in the inner city. Both programs are highly successful. <br /><br />I now look at the potential of 3D virtual immersive problem-based learning environment where the students interact with information to create knowledge in the virtual 'game' and the teachers become facilitators of the development of real-world strategies that students design using their knowledge to address the problems. <br /><br />I see a real potential for this type of immmersive learning and believe that this is an integration of technology in education that can transform the system. <br /><br />Donna RussellDonna Russell, Ph.D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/00640209801717273793noreply@blogger.com
